The 21 Best Majorca Beaches (with photos 📸)

Welcome to Paradise!

The Majorca island is impressive from wherever you look at it. It has beaches of all kinds: coves, fine sandy beaches and rocky bays, and crystal clear water, which in the distance turns turquoise and is a delight for the eyes. And yes, more often than you think you will be looking and looking at the beauty of those landscapes that abound on the island and you thought they existed just in postcards. Below you will find the beaches that stand out on the island.

If you were looking for a place to spend a summer vacation, Mallorca is a destination that MUST add to your list.

What is a ‘cala’?

A ‘cala‘ is a small bay or cove, and in Mallorca it is the term that is largely used to refer to its beaches.

Which are the best beaches in Mallorca?

I think all Majorca’s beaches are spectacular. Telling you one beach is better than another depends on each person and the activity you are most passionate about: snorkeling, kayaking, boating, enjoying the sand and building sand castles if you travel with children, play football, or why not … pretend to be the Rafa Nadal of the beach ball-paddle.

In my opinion, from the (more of) 200 beaches in the Balearic Island, the Best Mallorca Beaches are: Playa Cala D’or, Playa de Formentor, Port d’Alcúdia, Cala Mesquida, Platja Des Trenc, Cala Agulla, Cala Millor, Port de Pollença, Cala Varques, Cala del Moro, Cala Portals Nous, Cala Comtesa, Playa de Illetas, Cala Llamp, Cala d’Estellencs, Cala Tuent, Cala Torta, Cala s’Almunia, Cala Mondragó, Playa de Cala Molins, Torrent de Pareis y Sa Calobra.
